Thank you for your interest in supporting the Newton Food Pantry and our clients. Below are some ways to get involved.

Organize a Food Drive

Help us stock our shelves with nonperishable foods and personal-care items for those in need. Please check out our Most Needed Items or Amazon Wish lists. Donations can be dropped off at the Newton Food Pantry on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, from 8am to 6pm, and on Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm. Learn more about in-kind donations.

Schools, businesses, civic groups, religious groups and others interested in organizing larger-scale food drives can email us at fooddrivecoordinator@newtonfoodpantry.org for more information.

Volunteer

All volunteers MUST BE 15 years old or older. We ask our volunteers to make at least a six-month commitment; one shift a month for adults and two shifts each month for teens. Unfortunately, we are not currently accepting new volunteer applications.

Support the Newton Community freedge

The Newton Community freedge is a publicly accessible outdoor refrigerator and pantry, open to anyone 24/7. Operated by the Newton Food Pantry, this volunteer-powered initiative provides donated and rescued foods — fresh and nonperishable items — to those in need. Learn more on our freedge page.
