December Volunteer Spotlight: Noah Putterman

Noah Putterman started volunteering for the Newton Food Pantry this past March. His job consists of unloading and sorting groceries, doing senior bulk deliveries, and anything else that VP Cat Strahan asks of him. Noah and his wife recently moved here from Monterey, California. He says, “Working with the Pantry has helped me get to know our community better. There are so many good people here who really care about their neighbors, and that’s been heartening to see and experience.”

Noah is currently in a masters program in theatre directing at Boston University. When he’s not working inside a dark theatre (which he hasn’t been able to do since COVID, sadly), he and his wife love to be outdoors, enjoying nature, and they especially enjoy hiking with their two crazy dogs. Noah is also a proud stepfather of a US Airman who is currently serving in California.

Welcome to the community, Noah, and thank you for all you do for the Pantry!
